How exciting it is for me to welcome you to the website for the New Jersey Division of International Association of Administrative Professionals.


ASK:  Am I a Career Minded Administrative Professional looking for a professional organization to network and keep abreast of the latest office trends and techniques?  Am I looking for an organization where I can learn how to earn credentials as a Certified Professional Secretary and/or a Certified Administrative Professional?


AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU:    The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) which is the world’s largest association for administrative support staff.  The IAAP mission is to be the acknowledged, recognized leader of administrative professionals and to enhance their individual and collective value, image, competence, and influence.  The New Jersey Division was chartered in September 1953.  Representative members are office professionals, administrative assistants, office coordinators, clerical supervisors, executive secretaries, personnel recruiters and all types of administrative staff.

Learn about the New Jersey Division President:

Trish Sgromolo is the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Staff Executive for Corporate Strategy at the IEEE.  She has been with the IEEE since August of 2007.  Prior to her work with the IEEE, Trish had a distinguished administrative management career of 20 with Johnson & Johnson family of companies.  During her career at Johnson & Johnson she worked with senior level management in the areas of clinical and regulatory affairs, information technology, sales and marketing, human resources, corporate contributions and public affairs.

Trish has been a member of IAAP since 1988.  She currently is serving as President of the New Jersey Division – IAAP and a past chapter president for Somerset Valley - IAAP, 1988-1989, 1995-1997 and 2008-2010.  She graduated from Cittone Business Institute in 1984.  Trish was awarded with a Johnson & Johnson Standard of Leadership Award in 2006, the United Way Star Award for volunteerism in 2004 and in 2005, IAAP International Presidents Award in 1997 and received various J&J Good Citizens Awards for her employee volunteer activities for United Way, Savings Bond and Blood Drive campaigns.

With a passion for dance and cheerleading, she is the owner of Rebels Cheerleading and volunteers as a coach for the Del Val Dawgs Pop Warner Spirit Squad in Frenchtown, NJ.  Trish currently holds national cheer judge certification, cheerleading coaches safety certifications with Rutgers, American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors, National Council of Spirit Safety and Education and Pop Warner. She has training and certifications in cheer, dance and gymnastic with Universal Cheerleading Association, American Dance Academy and USA Gymnastics.  Trish currently resides in Kingwood Township, NJ with her husband, Merrill and two children, Nicole and Merrill.
